The OLEG is an award given to select Flight Sim Machinima movies which use the IL2 Sturmovik 1946 PC Flight Simulation series as the engine for generating the images. This series was created by the Maddox 1C Company, located in Russia, headed by Mr. Oleg Maddox. This award was created in honour of Mr. Maddox. All the movies listed on the site have been selected for being especially extraodinary in the year of their release. Each year, some of these movies are so truly outstanding that they merit the very special recognition of the Oleg Award. |

The Golden Oleg is awarded to any movie that is outstandingly good even when compared to all the excellent movies in any one year. This can be for any general or specific reason.
The Silver Oleg is an award given to chosen movies produced by new arrivals to the Flight Sim Machinima movie-making community. These movies may not be up to the standard of greatness being attained by experienced movie-makers, but the movie-maker stands apart as exceptionally talented and successful in an early production, and shows promise of potentially outstanding achievements in future productions.
